Berat molekul ( BM ) atau molekul relative ( Mr ) adalah berat suatu molekul dalam satuan massa atom. Berat molekul dapat dihitung dengan cara menjumlahkan berat seluruh atom yang menyusunnya.
Berat atom (BA) atau atom relative (Ar) adalah berat suatu atom dalam satuan massa atom. Satuan berat atom dan berat molekul adalah gram/mol.
BM = Mr
BA = Ar
Rumus menghitung BM/Mr
Cara Menghitung BM/Mr senyawa kimia
Contoh :
1. Berapa Mr dari NaOH...? Ar Na = 22,997 Ar O = 16,00 Ar H = 1,008
Mr NaOH = Ar Na + Ar O + Ar H
= 22,997 + 16,00 + 1,008
= 40,005 gr/mol
= 40 gram/mol
